When I began Elevator 37, I wanted to create a good science
fiction book, novel if you like, that could someday turn into a science
fiction movie. The characters in this science fiction book have sex
appeal, but the novel isn’t about sex. Neither is it a fantasy science
fiction book; it resembles reality.
I wrote it as part of a creative thesis. All the technology could
and will possibly be science fact at a future dates. For the thesis, I
had to justify all the technological predictions, i.e., MESH grew from
cell phone technology; growing buildings from plant DNA resulted from
researching biomedical corporations; Lifebots sprung from
nanotechnology.
